ReplyDeleteDo you shop the sales for your meat or do you buy your meat in bulk once a month. I feel like the meat is what always up my grocery bill! I've been trying to make very healthy meals and I feel like everything that is calls for is never on sale!
ReplyDeleteI shop the sales for my meat. I cook mainly with chicken breasts and ground beef. I think they both freeze well, so when I find a sale I stock up! Last week Publix had their chicken breasts $1.99 lb. so I bought a lot and froze them. I do the same with the ground beef, but I freeze it in zippy bags in 1 lb. portions. If I see good prices on different meats (pork, steak, etc.) I will buy it and cook it that week. If I'm in a pinch and the sales don't look good, I head to Sam's.
